W.E. Hill & Sons Violin Bow, England c.1920
A virtually mint condition violin bow made by Sydney Yeoman in the Hill workshop around 1920. Hill bows in general are a by-word for consistent high quality, the makers from this early period being especially highly esteemed.
This ‘W.E.H. & S.’ stamped violin bow has a silver mounted octagonal pernambuco stick with plain ebony frog with a standard fitting on the stick; the adjuster of ebony sheathed in silver and capped with a pearl eye.
